Forest School Autumn Family Events

Our first Family Forest event was blessed with glorious sunshine. The Key Stage 1 and Foundation children worked with their parents to investigate leaves. We collected leaves and made a name card, used crayons to take leaf rubbings and paint to print leaves. We also read through the Leaf Man story and created our own leaf creatures. All topped off with chocolate biscuits and drinks. A fun and relaxing afternoon in the Autumn sun, thanks to all who came.

Orienteering for Key Stage 2 took place on a windy autumn afternoon, however the sun was shining and we all had great fun. We looked at the points of the compass and worked out how to find magnetic North. We then spent time navigating cones around the netball court and finally found letters hidden around the school grounds following a map. We arranged the letters of the anagram to find a place we all love.
