May 2017 in Reception 1

This month we continued our topic of minibeasts and planting and growing. We planted some beetroot, peas, runner beans and carrots in the outside area and we cannot wait to eat them once they have grown.

We have really enjoyed our topic of minibeasts and have been extremely busy making different types of art, using a range of materials. We created snail trails using string, glue and glitter, snail pictures using oil pastels and butterfly pictures using paint and folding the paper to make it symmetrical.  We also enjoyed creating minibeast books, using our Phonics to write facts independently.

In forest school we enjoyed making faces and patterns out of natural objects.
