May 2017 in Reception 2

This month we have continued to enjoy our minibeasts topic. We have learnt lots of interesting facts about different types of minibeast. We have used our phonics knowledge to help us write about minibeasts and also created some fantastic art work. This included making snail trails, snail pictures using oil pastels plus lots of observational drawings and paintings.

At the beginning of the month our parents were invited to come and see the types of activities we do in Maths. This month in Maths we have been focussing on doubling, halving and sharing.

In Forest School we have enjoyed a range of activities that cover many areas of learning. This included making nature faces, patterns of natural objects, a nature colour hunt and also a numbered worm hunt.
