November 2017 in Year 3

November has flown by since returning just before Halloween. We have enjoyed all sorts of activities this month, and taken part in our class assembly. It was lovely to see so many of the parents there!

In English we have spent the past few weeks looking at different fairy tales and folktales. We got to make up our own version of Cinderella, we had some very creative characters, and also got to write an Indian folktale. To do this we had to do a bit of acting. You can see some of our freeze frames below.

In Design and Technology we made pyramids, we looked at Ancient Egyptian designs and created our own. We then tested them to see how much weight they could hold. We quickly found out that we needed to make sure we put somewhere to have the weights as some of our pyramids collapsed and the bottoms fell off!

We have had a really good November and are looking forwards to December, with Decorations Day and the Christingle!
