April 2018 in Year 2

April in Year 2 got off to a very exciting start with a science workshop on light and dark. We would like to say a big thank you to Mark Prisk, our councillor who funded the workshop for Key Stage 1.

We began our seaside topic and shared our amazing homework with each other. We learnt about the 5 oceans and 7 continents.

In music we began learning the sea shanty ‘Wat shall we do with the drunken sailor?’

In jigsaw we have begun to think about why our family is important and special to us and in R.E we have met our new owl Sophia. We are learning about why agreements are important. We began by making our own class agreement and all signing it.
