March 2017 in Year 4

Year 4 have transformed into witches and wizards this month and created magic potions using our knowledge of capacity in maths.

We have also been looking at the life cycles of plants, learning about the functions of different parts of plants and flowers   and loved dissecting daffodils, growing mung beans and loved creating our own fair tests to investigate an aspect of plant growth.

In our Setpoint science workshops, we really enjoyed investing making a lava lamp, chromatography, testing the strength of solids and inflating a balloon using vinegar and bi-carbonate of soda!

In year four this spring we have worked really hard learning our lines, songs, dances and actions for our play ‘The Mystery at Magpie Manor’ which we hope you enjoyed watching as much as we enjoyed performing!
