This month Reception 2 have settled back into school life well after a break at Christmas. Our topic this half term is traditional tales. The children have so far enjoyed
exploring the stories Little Red Riding hood, The Gingerbread man and The elves and the Shoemaker. They have particularly enjoyed designing their own shoes in the shoe shop and making their own gingerbread men out of playdough in the Bakery.
This month in PE we’ve been lucky enough to have Miss Holly the dance teacher. She has been teaching us how to travel across the hall in different ways and also how to move our bodies to different nursery rhymes such as the Wheels on the bus and Humpty Dumpty.
In Phonics we’ve been enjoying our new scheme of work Super sonic phonic friends. We’ve really enjoyed learning the characters names and also the action and rhyme that goes with each letter.
