We are very excited to welcome back the Lower Key Stage 2 children for the Autumn term. We have lots of interesting learning planned, such as our history topic on the Stone Age. This is a fascinating look at prehistory and will give us opportunities for outdoor learning and link to a study of cave painting in Art.

LKS2 PE days are Tuesday and Friday. The children need to come to school dressed in their PE kit on these days.  We are looking forward to Mr Rock teaching the classe PE on Fridays.

We will be working hard on our writing skills and on our reading fluency. Please hear your child read each day and sign the reading diary. The book-changing days will be Tuesday and Friday.

In Maths, we will be spending time learning our times tables, not only in preparation for the Year 4 Multiplication Check in June, but because having fluent recall of times tables helps in so many areas of Maths.

We will set home learning on Google Classroom. The children have their logins for Google Classroom. Please do not change any passwords. We will be using a book for Maths homework. Please ensure that the weekly pages are completed and the book is returned to school each Tuesday. We are looking forward to working with you this year.
