April was very short but we crammed a lot in! The Year 5s had a K’Nex workshop where they had to design and build a working crane – lots of laughs and crazy designs! We all enjoyed Green Day where we had a day using no electricity – we were amazed at how dark the classroom was. We finished the day using rubbish to create art inspired by the natural world. In science, we have started our unit on forces. We loved investigating the link between weight and mass and using force metres and scales to measure Grams and Newtons. We also completed our work on design by looking at William Morris designs and our textile work using batik.
