This month has been filled with lots of exciting new learning. We have learnt all about Beatrix Potter and other influential women, both in the past and now. We also went on our first trip out of school, walking down to the local allotments to discover the different vegetables that grow there.
After half-term, we started Spring 2 with a brilliant D&T project. We used our knowledge of vegetables and how different plants grow from Science to make our own vegetable quiches. We thought about how vegetables grow and what might make a tasty combination of vegetables. We really enjoyed using the special kitchen to make our quiches.
In Maths, we have begun our new topic, looking at multiplication and division. We are excited to start using Times Tables Rock Stars next month and really building our understanding of times tables. We have already begun working on 2s, 5s, 10s and 3s. In English, we have looked at a range of different text types, including picture books and poems. We wrote our own verses to The Sound Collector, exploring the different sounds across the school.
We are looking forward to continuing our learning about Easter and completing lots more fun activities before the end of term.
