This month in English we have been exploring the story of ‘Mr Big’ by Ed Vere. We read the story to find out about the real Mr Big and how he was misunderstood by the other characters. We then read the letter that the other animals wrote to him, inviting him to play. We made our own version, listening to jazz music to inspire us.
In Maths, we have been exploring column addition and subtraction. Whilst we quickly learnt how to do this, adding regrouping made it extra tricky. We are all excited with the new method we have learnt and it means we can complete our calculations much quicker.
In Computing, we have been exploring research. We researched the different eye colours of children in the class and created our own bar charts to go with these. We also used our maths skills in Science, creating a pictogram of animals we might find in the forest school
