We have had such a busy and fun March! We kicked off March with world book day where we had a ‘Book in a box’ competition. We were so impressed with effort and creativity the children put into making the boxes.
Our book of the week for World book day was Super potato, we enjoyed making our own superheroes using real potatoes!
Alongside World book day we also had Science week. The children did lots of scientific activities throughout the week but the one they enjoyed most was the ‘Sense’s investigation’. The children were blindfolded and asked to smell different bowls and guess what was inside each bowl. Some of the items were mint, chocolate, coffee and an orange.
We celebrated our Reception class assembly in March and during the assembly we said a line about why we love our Mummy’s. We also made some flower themed mothers day cards. The children wrote a message independently in the cards using their phonics skills.
