May 2021 in Nursery

We have continued to learn about minibeasts and enjoyed listening to lots of minibeast themed stories. These included Spinderella, The Bad Tempered Ladybird and Superworm. In Forest School, we enjoyed going on a minibeast hunt, marking off the bugs we found.

In maths we made arrangements with cubes which represent the different number blocks. We enjoyed exploring square numbers when learning about the number nine.

During walk to school week we spoke about the importance of keeping safe on the roads. At the end of the week we wore bright colours to show we need to be seen to keep ourselves safe. We also completed Buster’s Active Travel Challenge, saying whether we had active ways of getting to school each day such as bike, scooter or walking.
