In English we have been exploring imperative verbs using the story ‘Farmer Duck’ by Martin Waddell. We looked at the different ways that the Farmers orders the duck around and looked at the verbs he uses. We then wrote our own bossy sentences using imperative verbs.
In Maths we have been exploring number bonds to 10 as well as different ways to make the same number. We have also looked at how we can use = to show equivalence and used this to balance number sentences. We have now started to explore the place value fo 2 digit numbers, looking at how many tens and ones make a number.
In Geography we have been learning about our local surroundings. We have looked at the landmarks you can find in Hertford as well as looking at how this knowledge can help us read a map of our local area.
