We have really enjoyed our time at school since returning from half term. We have got stuck in with play rehearsals and ensuring we all know our lines. It has been great seeing the effort that the children have all put in!
In English, we have looked at letter writing. We explored ‘The Incredible Book Eating Boy’ by Oliver Jeffers and wrote our own letters to him. We wanted to make sure he didn’t eat our favourite books!
In Maths, we explored think-10 method for addition and subtraction. We used our number bond skills to work out some tricky calculations.
In Geography, we have been exploring Hertford. We have looked at lots of different landmarks and features of the town. It was brilliant to see so many people exploring the town and the castle during half-term. We are glad we didn’t get left in the dungeon!
We also completed our History topic by having a castle day! We all got to dress up as people who lived in castles and make our own castles out of junk and recycling. It was so much fun! We also enjoyed some Tudor dancing, shield designing and bunting making.
We have really enjoyed our learning this month and are looking forward to Decorations Day and performing the play ready for you to see!
