This month we have explored a new story in English called ‘Stanley’s Stick’. We have enjoyed learning about his adventures with his stick and what we would do if we had our own stick. We then made speech bubbles to go alongside Stanley’s adventures and began to retell the story.
In Maths, we have continued to look at addition and subtraction, focussing on using think-10. Whilst we found this tricky to begin with, with lots of practice we have really begun to understand it and use it in our calculations.
In Science, we have tested lots of different materials to see if they are waterproof. First we planned our investigation to ensure it was fair, adding drops of water at a time to see if it kept our pompoms dry. We found out plastic and glass are great, however plastic is better because it’s bendy and lighter to hold.
