November 2019 in Year 5

November has just flown by in Year 5! We have enjoyed wellbeing week. We have helped our school community by picking litter, shared our skills with the class and discussed our ‘stress bucket’.

We have also been very creative this month and have started to create our Aztec masks with papier mache. Soon we will decorate them on Aztec Day.

In English we have been writing explanation texts on ‘How to Survive in Mexico’ and then ‘How to survive in Pandora’ which was based on another world. We have been embedding our knowledge of number in Maths and have moved on to formal methods of column addition and subtraction.

Looking forward to another busy month leading up to the holidays!
