We have made a super start to the year in 5/6. In English we have been learning about persuasion and began the unit with a drama lesson, role playing using different techniques to persuade someone. We then worked in groups to plan and present a ‘Dragon’s Den’ style pitch of an imaginary product.
In Science we have started our new topic of Electricity. We have enjoyed experimenting with different components in circuits, such as buzzers and motors.
In DT we cooked an Aztec meal! We enjoyed taste testing a variety of different foods, before preparing salsa, guacamole and tortilla. We evaluated our product for taste, texture, aroma and appearance.
At the end of the month Year 6 took a trip to St Albans to visit the Anne Frank exhibition. It proved to be a thought provoking trip for all involved.
